How do I set homework?

At the moment this is not quite possible. We are looking into having this feature in the future.
Alternatively, a teacher can:
Ask students to complete some work and then the student can tick off that it is complete. A teacher can then see an overview of tasks that have been ticked by choosing Activity completion report in the This course menu. (see screenshots below)
They can also use the Announcement forum which allows communication from teachers to their students in a group. You will see links to these on the page immediately after accessing a course, but the forum can also be accessed via Forums in the This course menu under Quick links. Use the Calendar to add an item at group level. The calendar can be found on your dashboard.
