How do the section tests work?

Almost all A level sections for courses within Integral include a section test covering the work in the section. This can be found in the Progress part of the section page.

Section tests include a variety of types of question, including short answer, multiple choice and matching questions. For each question, you can check your answer immediately after entering it, and if it is wrong you will be given another attempt for fewer marks.

If you need printable copies of the test question, these are available in a pdf file in a folder in the Introduction and Overview section of each course.

All tests can also be accessed from the This course menu under Quick links, as well as from within a section page.

When you go into the test, you will see a summary of any previous attempts, and a link to the test review.

● You can click on the Review link for an attempt to see details of your marks.

● In a section test, you will get an immediate review of your test, with the total mark, and you will be able to see which questions you got wrong. There are usually 3 points for a correct answer with partial marks allocated for partially correct answers or answers which are correct after a second attempt. If you obtain 23 or more out of 30 you are given a link to the worked solutions, which will also appear on the course page below the test.

● You are allowed two attempts at each test. If you need another attempt, you should discuss this with your tutor, who can delete one or both of your previous attempts if necessary.

● Tip: A quick way to find the test you want is to select the relevant course from your dashboard, click on This course heading and select Tests under Quick links. This takes you to a page which lists all the section tests and your results, together with links to the tests themselves.
