How do I reset passwords for my students?

This article explains how to reset passwords for your students and the video details how to navigate this within the User Management area.

If you are a student and you have forgotten your password, please read this help article for more information.

Please note: You do not need to enter in your prefix number, when you enter the User Management area. This only applies to Integral staff.

The default password for users is based on their username. When any user logs in for the first time, they are forced to change their password.

There are several ways to re-set passwords if students forget theirs:

• Any tutor who shares a group with the user can go to the Reset passwords page under Quick links in the This course menu on their dashboard when in the required course and click the Reset Password link.
• Any manager with access to the User Management area can click on the menu heading Useful links within their dashboard and select the link to User Management area. Passwords can reset passwords here using the buttons on the View Users page.

Please note that the password re-set feature applies to Integral subscriptions that provide student accounts only and this feature does not apply to the shared student account provided through registering with the AMSP.
